Shangri-La is a thin market for organised tours — there are far fewer options than in Lijiang or Dali. Everything below is a real, currently bookable product that we checked by hand. What we could not verify, we say so.
Most travel sites list every tour they can find. On a destination this size that produces a wall of near-identical results, many of which are not even in Shangri-La. We ran the available products through a filter instead: Is it actually here? Does it include tickets? Is there an English-speaking guide? Does it have any real booking history at all?

Worth knowing: this covers the Upper Gorge, not the two-day high trail. The escalator down to the river is not included (about 80 RMB round trip), total driving is around 5.5 hours, and private tours need booking at least 15 days ahead.

Be clear on what this is: a same-day return trip. You arrive long after dawn and leave before the next one, so you will not see the golden sunrise — that needs an overnight at Feilaisi. Entrance fees are not listed as included, so confirm when booking.

Turn the transfer day into the highlight. A private vehicle runs the HuXiang Road between Lijiang and Shangri-La with stops at Tiger Leaping Gorge and the White Water Terrace, admission to both included (CNY 45 and CNY 30).
